NEW RELEASES!!!!

CD’s

TREY ANASTASIO -Original Boardwalk Style-Live in Atlantic City - I think the title sums everything up. Don’t you??

BIRD AND THE BEE-Ray Guns Are Not Just The Future- The Third release from this duo.

PAT DINIZIO -Buddy Holly- The Smithereens lead singers 4th solo release. He covers Buddy Holly. I wish he’d do an album of original tunes. The last two Smithereens cd’s have been Beatle Covers.

FRANZ FERDINAND-Tonight: Franz Ferdinand- Their 3rd release that is apparently more “dancey” than their prior 2.

FRUSCIANTE, JOHN-Empyrean-Amazing Chili Pepper Guitarist goes solo…again. This is his 10th solo release!!! Who knew??

GUGGENHEIM GROTTO -Happy The Man- This Duo’s second release is very good. They are at the Lizard Lounge this Thursday.

BUDDY HOLLY -Down The Line: Rarities- For all you Holly completists out there.

HOOBASTANK-ForNever- “Worst Band Name Ever” The 4th release from this band held over from the turn of the century.

JACKSONS-Destiny +2- Their 1978 release gets 2 bonus trax

JACKSONS-Triumph +3- Same goes for their 1980 release w/3 bonus trax

LEWIS, LEONA-Best Kept Secret-It certainly is a secret. the city pulse could not find any info regarding this release.

DEAN MARTIN -Amore- Love songs from Jerry Lewis’ former partner.

PAUL MCCARTNEY -Amoeba’s Secret (4 Tracks)- A mini live ep from Paul performing at a record store called Amoeba Music.

MINOGUE, KYLIE-Boombox: Remixes- Hmmm. I wonder what’s on this release??

NICKEL EYE (STROKES)-Time Of The Assassins- A solo album from the bass player from a hip band. The songs are good, the singing is ok. Hey, not all bass players can sing as well as Paul McCartney or Sting.

OF MONTREAL-Jon Brion Remix EP- A remix ep from the band of the moment.

OLSON & LOURIS-Ready For The Flood- This is a great album from Mark Olson and former Jayhawk Gary Louris

ATTN: ALAN PARSONS FANS!!! RE-RELEASES!!!

PARSONS, ALAN-Eve (+7)-

PARSONS, ALAN-Turn Of A Friendly Card (+7)

PARSONS, ALAN-Stereotomy (+4)-

RIHANNA-Good Girl Gone Bad: Remixed-How many F*^&ing times are they gonna release this album????

SEPULTURA-A-Lex-Finally, a release from a metal band.

SHEIK, DUNCAN-Whisper House-A rock opera for the 21st century?? You decide.

SPRINGSTEEN, BRUCE -Working On A Dream (CD/DVD)-His 16th release and apparently he’s still on the right track. This album is getting rave reviews. Plus, he didn’t make us wait too long. This could be his last with the E Street band. Expect a couple of shows at the Garden in April…oh yeah. He plays the Superbowl this weekend.

VARIOUS ARTISTS-GRAMMY NOMINEES 2009-Just in case you want to refresh your memory of what you missed last year.
