Edward Miskie has spent sixteen years living in New York City being a tourist and, naturally, has collected some favorite spots, personal secret hang-outs, and fun facts about NYC that he shares on his TikTok!
Edward Miskie is a former aspiring pop/rock singer and songwriter, and current actor based in New York City. Edward hung up his tight jeans, leather jackets, and earrings long ago; shortly after moving to NYC in that pursuit in 2005. His path took him down the road of musical theatre and he soon found himself starring in musicals domestically and internationally, as he has been for the last 14 years. Edward is also the 2011 AEA Roger Sturtevant Award recipient granted through the actors’ union.
In 2011, Edward was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Four rounds of failed chemo, thirty days of radiation, countless biopsies, a stem-cell transplant, and two hospitals later he was declared “cancer free” on October 5th, 2012 just two days before his 26th birthday. From his time as a professional cancer patient, Edward has written a book entitled “Cancer, Musical Theatre, & Other Chronic Illnesses” which is now live as a podcast and interview series wherever you listen to podcasts. He is also the creator and a cast member of BariToned, a farcical concert trio of strapping, and tall baritones who sing and dance their way through mash-ups and medleys of Broadway’s leading ladies.
Edward is currently dipping his toes back into the song-writer life, as inspired by his time with Jim Ebert and the Cancer Can Rock team. As a result, he is releasing a full album in 2021, and has been a free-lance contributor for Alchemical Records.
Forever grateful… and remember…
