It's no secret that Penn Station, as we know it, is trash! The prominent grime, the smell of urinal cakes, and the abrasive florescent lighting that would make Angela Bassett look like a bridge troll. No one likes to go there; no one! The sad history of the original Penn Station is a stain on the legislative history of NYC, and what replaced the striking original structure is vulgar at best. Was there a time when people were like "Wow this train station is gorgeous, and modern. So glad we scrapped the last one!"? Cause I doubt it. BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS: The New Moynihan Train Station in NYC is "The New Penn Station", and it's a lovely tip-of-the-hat to the OG!
