Possibly one of the most famous and/or notorious buildings in NYC, The Dakota has housed countless famous and wealthy tenants. The list of Dakotan hopefuls who have been rejected for residence is almost as impressive as the list of those who were granted access to living there. But The Dakota is unfortunately most known for its dark history circulating around the assassination of one of its most famous tenants is what has put it, and kept it on the map of pop culture, and the NYC tourism circuit.
