We’ve all had that moment where we’ve been in Central Park and needed a quick minute or so to figure out where we are and how to leave the park, exiting close to where we need to be. Guilty! But did you know that there’s actually a secret navigation-GPS-like system built into the park to help you get out? Yup! On the Edwardian lamp posts throughout the park there are tiny, little silver plaques that have numbers on them. Those numbers are your coordinates respective to where you’re at in the park and how close you are to an exit. So freely enjoy the castle, the theatre, the ball fields, the restaurants, the boat rentals, and fountains knowing that there’s an easy way for you to get out without using your phone, or even knowing exactly where you are.
