48 Record Bar, the stylish cocktail and listening lounge perched above Old City’s iconic Sassafras and recently named one of Philadelphia’s Best Bars by Bon Appétit, is bringing its unique vibe down the shore for a special one-night-only pop-up event.
On Wednesday, August 27, from 7 PM until midnight, the venue will host 48 Record Bar x Anchor Rock Club: Vinyl Nite! at Atlantic City’s legendary Anchor Rock Club (247 S. New York Ave), an independent live music venue located just steps from the historic boardwalk.
The event will feature 48 Record Bar’s Creative Director Joey Sweeney alongside guest selector Daniel Giangrandi spinning vinyl throughout the night. Attendees can also browse and purchase fresh vinyl crates, featuring a curated mix of classic albums and handpicked selections. Walk-ins are welcome, and there is no cover charge.
“We’ve had a great relationship with the Anchor Rock Club team for years, and we’re excited to kick off Labor Day Weekend with them,” says Joey Sweeney. “Dani and I will be spinning plenty of summer tunes on records we truly love and endorse.”

Additionally, with its intimate environment and high-tech AV system, the new venue serves as the perfect location for meetings and private events. 48 Record Bar was recently awarded inclusion in Bon Appétit’s Philadelphia’s Best Bars list following an Eater Philly Best New Bar accolade and a Philadelphia magazine Best Of Philly nod. 48 Record Bar is located above Sassafras at 48 S. Second Street, in Old City, Philadelphia, PA. Guests may enter via Sassafras. Visit www.48recordbar.com and follow on social media @48recordbar on Instagram, Spotify, and Facebook.
