Two phrases I live by; "reduce, reuse, recycle, repeat" and "one man's trash is another's treasure!"
Philly is home to many great vintage boutiques and thrift stores. Here is my top 3:
Mesh Vintage- Located in the heart of South Philly on Passyunk Ave! You can shop the most unique mens and women vintage clothing and accessories here. Everything is high quality and the prices are fabulous. Many $1 options available to shop from as well in the bins outside. Keep in mind, this is a one woman shop! She owns and operates her business herself, no employees. Hours vary but are typically Wednesday-Sunday 1pm-7pmish.
Philly Reclaim- Home of the nonprofit organization, Philadelphia Community Corps and located in the northeast area of the city! You're going to find reclaimed building materials, architectural pieces, unique furniture, tools, and more! Whenever I have a DIY furniture project I want to create, I come here for my supplies. Be sure to follow them on social media for $100 complimentary gift card coupons! How amazing is that? We made our dining room table for $0.00 from using the coupon on materials!
Philly Aids Thrifts- South Street is blessed with many shops and restaurants but one of my favorites is this city gem. Proceeds to each sale are donated to 15+ local HIV/AIDS service organizations. You can seriously find everything in this store! Clothing for the entire family, furniture, home appliances, movies, records, and thousands of books!
Tour these stores with me and watch below! Check out the other store tours here!

If you're thrifting around Philly, definitely check out Rainbow Shops reviews for more details. It's not a traditional thrift store, but it’s one of the best spots for affordable fashion especially if you're into trendy styles without the big price tag. They often have clearance racks with insane deals, and the vibe feels like a mix between budget retail and treasure hunting. There are a few locations around Philly, and if you time it right, you can walk out with a full outfit for what you'd spend on one item somewhere else. Not everything is secondhand, but if you’re looking to stretch your budget while staying stylish, Rainbow’s a hidden gem in the Philly are.
