A Deli You Can’t Refuse
This month, The City Pulse team made a made man’s detour on the way to the Jersey Shore and hit the jackpot at Chico & Sons in Northfield, New Jersey. What looks like a casual hoagie joint on the outside turns out to be a full-blown tribute to The Sopranos on the inside. From signed cast photos and autographed scripts to actual props from the show, the walls are a love letter to Tony and the crew. It's the kind of place where you half expect to see Christopher grabbing a sandwich to go, or Paulie yelling at someone for overcooking the peppers.
Meet & Greets… With Guys Who Got Whacked
On July 26, Chico & Sons turned up the heat by hosting another one of their Sopranos cast meet-and-greet events, a tradition that takes place every few months and is completely free for fans. This time, Artie Pasquale (who played Burt Gervasi) and Tony Cucci (a.k.a. Fat Dom) made an appearance. Both actors took time to chat, pose for photos, and share some inside stories from the show.
Spoiler alert: Both their characters were whacked on screen, but their presence at Chico’s was alive with energy and stories from behind the scenes.
These appearances aren’t some half-baked promotional gimmick either, these are real cast members showing real love to fans in an authentic spot.
Come for the Caprese, Stay for the Cheesecake
Let’s not forget the food, it’s not just a gimmick deli, it’s legit. The Caprese hoagie was fresh and flavorful, stacked with creamy mozzarella and ripe tomatoes on rolls that are delivered fresh every morning. The chicken cheesesteak was another standout, grilled perfectly and loaded with flavor. For dessert? Don’t skip the pistachio cheesecake.
