Philadelphia Area Hosts Grand Kyiv Ballet with The Nutcracker and Debut of New Ballet, Snow Queen

This esteemed company, showcasing more than 35 dancers, 20 of whom hail from Ukraine, symbolizes cultural fortitude. As part of their Winter 2024 U.S. city tour, Grand Kyiv Ballet will grace the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey regions for a limited engagement.

In The Nutcracker, witness Mary's whimsical journey unfold as her Nutcracker confronts the Mouse King, transforming into a Prince. Ethereal dances mark their victory before Mary awakens, clutching her beloved Nutcracker. Snow Queen portrays the tale of Kai cursed by the Snow Queen, inspiring his friend Gerda to embark on a perilous quest to melt his frozen heart with the warmth of love. Both ballets encapsulate narratives of magic, resilience, and the enduring strength of companionship and affection.
