Atlantic City’s first in‑casino mini golf experience debuts with two levels of play, a full sports bar, and $500,000 in immersive holograms
Ocean Casino Resort has officially opened Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar, unveiling Atlantic City’s first mini golf course located inside a casino. Set on the Casino Level next to LaScala’s Fire, the multi‑million‑dollar venue spans 8,000 square feet across two floors with two nine‑hole courses designed for playful competition by day and a lively 21+ sports bar vibe after 9 pm.
Grand opening guests included actor Christopher McDonald—“Shooter McGavin” of Happy Gilmore fame—who cut the ribbon and took to the greens, along with Jersey Shore stars Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
Ocean’s 18 doubles as a full sports bar, with large TVs throughout and a curated cocktail lineup. Signature sips include the Jaws 18 (a blue Ketel One martini) and the Pineapple Par, alongside rotating seasonal cocktails and frozen granitas.
Tech is a headliner here: the space features $500,000 in HYPERVSN holograms, the same technology used at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Guests are greeted by Ava the Avatar, a multilingual virtual host that can answer questions in more than 15 languages and rally visitors to try the venue’s signature Challenge Hole. Suspended over the main bar, a 12‑foot Great White Shark hologram—touted as the largest ever in a mini golf venue or inside a casino—anchors the spectacle.
For added competition, Ocean’s 18 integrates digital gameplay with QR code scorecards and a real‑time leaderboard. The venue is also event‑ready: groups can reserve either course, transform space near the bar into a private lounge with catering, or customize hologram displays with company logos for corporate functions. Ocean plans to introduce a “Stay and Play” hotel package with local golf partners and branded golfwear later this year.
