Here’s a sweet list of romantic Valentine's Day dinners and menu's at the Shore from Highlands to Toms Rivers.
Bahrs Landing Restaurant, Highlands -- What started in 1917 with Jack Bahrs selling fish from a boat in Highlands marina has turned into one of the most popular seafood restaurants at the Shore. What better place to celebrate Valentine's Day that overlooking Sandy Hook Bay. To top it off, the Lobster King is over a "Lobsters are for Lovers" menu with Lobster Thermidor, Lobster Pot Pie, Lobster Oreganata, Stuff Lobster Nantucket, Lobster Newburg and a half dozen more enticing lobster dishes. Start your meal with Jack Bahrs’s famous 1917 Manhattan clam chowder (red), spice it up with special cocktails such as Red Rose Mimosa and finish it off with house-made cobbler or chocolate torte sundae for two. They're open seven days a week.
The Iron Whale, Asbury Park Boardwalk -- One of the newer additions to the McLoones restaurant family, The Iron Whale has consistently been a go-to place for interesting food options on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. From Feb. 11-14, the restaurant is offering a special Valentine's Day menu with appetizers that include French Kiss Oysters, cocktails such as Cupid's Arrow and Swipe Right and ending the meal with Heart Shaped Cannoli Breading Pudding for Two or Chocolate Strawberry Panna Cotta.
Brando's Citi Cucina, 162 Main Street, Asbury Park -- Quiet, romantic atmosphere with a menu that features produce and meat handpicked from local farmers. The restaurant will order in advance for your table a special bouquet from Bloom Street Floral.
B2 Bistro + Bar, Toms River -- Available Feb. 10-16, there's a special Valentine's Day menu with oysters and caviar, entrees such as Chilean sea bass or you can split a couple's entree such as the 32-ounce Porterhouse Steak for two and top it all off with red velvet cake. Different Valentine's menus are offered at other B2 Bistro + Bar locations including Red Bank and Point Pleasant Beach.

Salt Creek Grille, Rumson -- On Valentine's Day, they are featuring a limited special a la carte menu. featuring starters such as stuffed jumbo shrimp, superfood salad and entrees such as Filet and Shrimp Linguini.
Red Horse by David Burke, Rumson -- If you are intent on impressing your lover, then you'll want to reserve a $125 per person, prix fixe, three-course dinner that includes Lobsta Love Dumplings as appetizers, Lobster and Chicken Wings for Two (entree) and Heart Shaped Tin Can Cake for dessert. Red Horse will also have Valentine's Day brunch and dinner specials the prior weekend.
