Comparing 2 Drive-Thru Holiday Displays at the Jersey Shore - Which is the Best Deal?

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

After dark at Holiday in The Park, Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, drive through distinctly different areas in the 140-acre theme park filled with twinkling lights, live entertainment, and festive music. Guests will enjoy distanced greetings from beloved holiday characters decked out for the holidays, popular iconic holiday decorations, a drive-by featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus and their helpful elves, and much more. Open weeknights only Dec 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 17th. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and are $14.99 per person. Reservations are required.

Magic of Lights, PNC Banks Arts Center, Holmdel returns with a holiday lights experience through a 2.5 mile course with favorite holiday scenes and characters of the season. The popular Toyota Mega Tree Spectacular returns this season, featuring favorite holiday programming displayed across 240 feet of LED Christmas trees. Nightly until January 2 except December 30. Tickets are $25 per carload in advance or $30 at gate from dusk to 11pm.

The bottom line -- if you're in the car by yourself, then the best deal is Holidays in the Park Six Flags. With advance purchase for two or more people, then you're going to do better at Magic of Lights. The one caveat is that if you are Six Flags members or season ticket holder, Holiday in The Park is free.

What else is there to do this weekend? How about The Igloos in Cape May, historic trolley
